Montenegro Situation COVID-19

It is been 47 days since we had the first case of the new COVID-19 infection in Montenegro. In the blog you can read the latest information about current situation.

Hello dear friends.

It is been 47 days since we had the first case of the new COVID-19 infection in Montenegro.

The government had taken huge steps to prevent the outbreak of the virus in the country. We were
the last part of Europe to get the virus and since then the outbreak is kept under control. As for the
last 3 days we didn’t have any new cases.

The whole country is in lock down, there is no public transport, and there can be only one person on
public space, no visits to family and friends or religious objects, all educational institutions are closed
as well as cafés, restaurants, hotels and bars. There is a strong #stayathome campaign running.

But all this is giving results. The present situation is:
In total #COVID19 patients- 322 of that:

  • Positive – 75
  • Cured – 240
  • Deceased – 7
  • Under observation – 1565 citizens
  • As you can see we have at the moment 75 still infected.

The people of Montenegro took to hart all the recommendations of the government and the medical
team overlooking the situation. Because of this from the 4th of May some of the restrictions that are
in place will be lifted. And from the 18th of May we will start to open the service industry such as
hotels, restaurants, cafés and similar. As you can imagine this is something we all are looking forward
to.

We will keep you informed of the future development and normalization,
Stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely yours,
Nomad Montenegro Team
